How do I use html to post videos, photos, or music?
253hiphop.com uses BBCode to allow users to post stuff like that, BBCode is a forum standard to make sure users are protected from assholes that post viruses and stuff to infect others. If you are not familar with BBCode read up here

Just type the url of the video and it should automatically figure it out.

Just type the url of the video and it should automatically figure it out.

How do I post photos?
Like this: (No space infront of img though) Please try to size images no wider then 460px

Another way to post photos if you do not have them on a server already is that you can upload them to our server, using the attachment button under comments. If you want multiple photos in a post that you upload you must upload one then hit "edit" and upload another. Yea it sucks but it works for now...the cool thing though is that it will resize it for you.


What are whispers?
Whispers are private messages within a post, if you whisper to a user then no one else will see it but you and them.

How do I add an Account picture?
In the top navigation click "account" then in the sidebar under "Account options" you should see a link called "Account Picture" just follow the directions from that point.

How do I post my mp3s/music?
Well if you host it somewhere else you can type the url in the site for example:
http://your website.com/song.mp3 (no spaces though) and it should make it so people can play it, as of right now myspace doesnt allow you to post your music on other sites so if you want people to critique your song on myspace just link them to your profile and tell them what song to listen to.

No people will hate you and if you do it to much I'll just ban you and I dont really want to have to moderate people so just type normal

Did you come up with this idea on your own?
well every year I try to start a new project and I have a few friends who are artist and they have a hard time promoting in tacoma. I saw in other citys that they have local sites for hiphop so I decided tacoma needs a site to help everyone network. The idea for a forum for local hiphop isn't that original, someone has to do it though...
