There has been some loose organization of a protest/rally tomorrow at the Pantages theater at noon to support Tacoma hiphop. March 10, 2008.
This is what was posted by the promoters:
[quote]The city of tacoma would like you to believe they are for diversity and growth, but we call their bluff! They welcomed a rap show in december. They wanted the new and fresh to share in the performing arts community. Rottweiler rented the building hired e40 , tickets went on sale, Kube started advertising, then the TPD stepped in. To insure the safety of the night we agreed to hire additional security including 19 tacoma police officers, 20 staff pro employees, and the numerous broadway center staff. (for an event that holds only 1100 people) then they gave us three days to pay all of these people. And when we give them there money and jump through their hoops, they then decided to scare the community. They want to blame e40 but they couldn't prove any violence at his concerts, so they want to blame the local artists and their fan base. They would like people to believe that if you throw up your neighborhood or hang in a certain part of town, or try to put a certain event on you are condoning gang activity. They are using your myspace posts and comments for their arguments. They claim the Rottweiler crew and e40 will bring violence and riots downtown that night. So its time to join together to show the communities and hip hop events don't constitute gang violence. We are speaking out and would like your feelings on the subject. rottweiler is a family and community based organization. that support all the performing arts of all kinds!
Organization then started happening online and plans to rally in protest started popping up.
If you become involved in this rally we at 253hiphop.com endorse a no violence peaceful rally.

Now I would like to submit the same post I tried to make 10 times last night....
"I'm gonna put on my 253hiphop.com shirt and pop off some rounds down there tomorrow."
Note to those responsible:
HIPHOP IS NOT AFRAID OF YOU
Scares ya doesnt it?
These bureaucrats still think they can win, that they can dissect us with papercuts divide us with fear tactics and shut down hiphop in Tacoma?!
Please note:
Hiphop is not afraid of you

" go down to the pantages right now the promoters are down there now. Lets ralley they are trying to ban hip hop in the 253."Money from myspace
Tacoma recently passed legislation that will ban hip hop shows from Tacoma's public venues. The legislation came into effect last Friday. Tacoma hip hop artists and producers heard about this just recently and are staging a rally at the Pantages Theaters, Downtown Tacoma, Monday, March 10 at noon.

i think it was kinda gay that u got censored. I laughed when i saw the comment, and knew of course that it was meant to be funny. But i also understand 253 being responsible with moderation of the site.
I try to let people self moderate themselves but sometimes people say some dumb shit, I know I have.
